Natrona County ranked 10th in state for resident earnings in 2017


Natrona County ranked 10th among counties in Wyoming by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Natrona County residents was an inflation-adjusted $31,518 per year. Natrona County had 32,984 households in 2017, with a population of 81,023.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Teton County. Teton County's median income was $40,656 per year after adjusting for inflation – $9,138 more than Natrona County. It had 8,795 households in 2017 and a population of 22,923.

Albany County had the lowest annual resident income among counties in Wyoming, with a median income of only $21,510 per year. That was $10,008 less than the median income in Natrona County at the time. Albany County had 16,009 households in 2017 and a population of 37,944.
